Copy Stand is designed to have the camera and object plane parallet to each other. Frequent or important work may need such kind of device. Other setting can use level-meter to fix.

Copying shares the same nature as enlarging that a special lens is needed for best result. Since high standard enlarger lens, which is a kind of "process" lens can be used instead of a special copying lens.

Tungsten lamp is a favorable light source for copying because of its stable color temperature. This kind of lighting allows us to avoid patch of highlight where flash may not be easy. We suggest to use a dimmer for tungsten lamp. This can keep the lamp in a better condition when every on and off are controlled by the dimmer.

Material:

With tungsten lamp, it is better to use tungsten film. We have EPY(ISO64),EPT(ISO160) and EPJ(ISO320) from Kodak. EPY is best for graininess, EPT is best for gradation and contrast, EPJ is best for low light condition. For copying, EPT (ISO 160) is the best choice of slide. For negative, we have a wider choice because printing can adjust the color balance. Full range of color is necessary. All negative films from Kodak are suitable and choice should be based on individual case.
