REMARK

The best design is with inner PVC layer and outer black cloth, a 4 cm width black PVC strip between the two zippers.

Mercury or alcohol tubular thermometer are alright, better with Fahrenheit scale. Electronic thermometer is in Centigrade only. Consistency is more important than accuracy for less cost and requirement.

FILM CLIPS

Metal or plastic in pairs and one must be with weight.

CYLINDER

Three 500cc, one 2 litre, one smaller size with 1 cc scale.

STIRRER

Special design is better because it has a hard end for cracking clump. Glass or plastic rod can do too. Wood or bamboo should not be used because they will suck up chemical and is hard to clean.

NEGATIVE SLEEVE

Glassine and polyester negative sleeve are commonly used. Both have advantage and disadvantage. Glassine cannot get wet. Polyester will build static charge. Special file for about 25 sheets is better for storage.

CHEMICAL CONTAINERS

Glass bottle is too heavy. Chemical resistant plastic is good. The size of container depends consumption. For film processing chemicals, it will be better to have a smaller volume to avoid storage problem.
